Joanna Neary Presents

Peg In The Gallery.

A new interactive puppet show for children, recommended age 4 to 8.

Art materials provided.

Character comedian Jo Neary (Mrs Jones in CBBC’s So Awkward) brings her observational brilliance and off-kilter wit to a this interactive puppet show for children.

Marina the cleaner is due to present a talk ‘Housework World. Tidying Fun for All the Family’. But her sensible conference is thrown into messy chaos with the impending arrival of Lady Peggy, Patron of The Arts.

Can you help Marina the cleaner fill the gallery with wonderful new work in time to impress Peg?

Marina is joined in her mission by a cast of characters, and children are encouraged to get messy with art. Using improvisation, songs and stories, the show is about what it is to be creative, looking at art and being in a gallery.

‘Found the puppets very funny, and loved the interaction’.

‘Enjoyed being part of it, being a statue’.

‘We liked the mermaid best and creating something fun’.

SESKA.

Quack, Quack BANG!

Seska is one of the best family entertainers in the UK -a firm favourite at Camp Bestival ,he sells out shows wherever he travels due to his infectious energy and loveable nuttiness . His endearing chaotic magical style is hilarious and super original .

We tracked him down to his little caravan to find out where it all began for him ...

Seska comes from a circus travelling family who's roots are over 120 years old. The family circus originated in Spain but moved to Lambeth in the early 1900's travelling with Astleys Circus. His  Aunt was part of the world famous Ringling brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus

Seska is super excited about his gig at Hastings Fringe Comedy Festival .....

'I have a very exciting show for you this year ... lots of visual tricks for the little ones, some naughty tricks for the older ones and plenty of danger to keep the adults on the edge of their seat'

When Seska comes to town kids laugh out loud , Dads fart out loud and Mums faint at his feet !

We love having SESKA as part of our festival, he brings a type of energy that is captivating and engaging- Hastings Fringe Comedy Festival
