Again this year we've kept registration to an affordable rate and made it simple for acts to understand the structure of the festival and how it is run. All of our operating funds are directed back towards maintaining the festival.
Registering and performing a show
The cost of registering a show includes programme entry, use of venue and A3 and A4 poster prints. It also includes a volunteer for your show at each venue to support with any tech set up, props and flyering.
Your show will also be printed in our 28 page A5 full colour programme, which is distributed all over the south east. Your show will also feature on our website listings and digital programme.
We also share your posters/promo clips on our social media platforms.
Acts keep 100% of bucket donations and 70% of ticket sales
Our unique way of allocating shows means that if you perform more than one show it will be allocated to a different venue. This model has worked really well and has had some great feedback from acts.

Looking to bring TWO different shows to HAstings?
Previous festivals brought an increasing number of people wanting to register two different shows performed by the same person. This is absolutely fine. The only change is that you will need to register two shows for our programme entry on the same application.

Tickets and box office
Tickets for The Comedy Festival are from £5 as well as a "Pay what you want on leaving" structure with a bucket collection that the act keeps 100% of and 70% of ticket sales. This has worked well within our festival since starting in 2016.
Deadlines
We do encourage comedians to register their interest as soon as possible as we always have a large number of acts apply due to the festivals increasing popularity.
Once your show has been confirmed an invoice will be sent out via Email.
